We, at Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College, are committed to our motto “Lighted to Lighten”. It gives me great happiness to announce that Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College is now equipped with its own website. I do hope it provides both the faculty and the students of this College with a platform for exchange of ideas and information . It is also intended to benefit all others who visit it to learn more about our College, in whatever capacity it may be, I also, take the opportunity to thank the University Grants Commission (UGC) for making this achievement possible. NATIONAL YOUTH POLICY
The Government has reviewed the existing draft National Youth Policy, 2014 and prepared a new draft National Youth Policy (NYP). The draft NYP envisages a ten - year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves 'to unlock the potential of the youth to advance India'. The draft NYP seek to catalyze widespread action on youth development across five priority areas viz. education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice. Each priority area is underpinned by the principle of social inclusion keeping in view the interests of the marginalized sections.
The Department of Youth Affairs seek comments/views/suggestions on the draft NYP from all stakeholders.

OBITUARY
The college fraternity is deeply saddened to bid adieu to Pu Lalthianghlima, fondly called ‘Thianga’ by all and sundry, who suddenly left us for his Heavenly abode on 4th August 2021.
The office corner which you sincerely occupied for the past many years resonates with memories of your humour and gruff remarks that were so loved by your colleagues.
The office has been stripped bare of a man who gave it a great amount of care and always offered a helping hand to those in need.
Without you this college will feel deserted and your memories will remain with us forever!

Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College has been established by the government to be the first science college with a view to cater to the need for undergraduate-level science education in Mizoram. Goals & Objectives
The principle goal is to cater to the need for higher learning in the college level in various fields of science education in Mizoram. It is envisaged that the knowledge and skills gained from the institution, with the degree obtained, would facilitate students for future employment opportunities. The main objectives of the college are:
- To be at par with esteemed colleges outside the state in terms of teaching-learning process and, also in terms of research output.
- To continuously strive to provide a platform for more choices and opportunities, particularly for students who cannot afford to pursue higher studies elsewhere.
