We, at Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College, are committed to our motto “Lighted to Lighten”. It gives me great happiness to announce that Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College is now equipped with its own website. I do hope it provides both the faculty and the students of this College with a platform for exchange of ideas and information . It is also intended to benefit all others who visit it to learn more about our College, in whatever capacity it may be, I also, take the opportunity to thank the University Grants Commission (UGC) for making this achievement possible. Participated as Resource Person at the Finishing School Course from 21^st May 2012 to 27^th June 2012 conducted by Pachhunga University College, Aizawl.
Participated in the State Level Seminar on Problems & Opportunities in Higher Education and Higher Vision and Professional Code of Ethics for Teachers on 27^th November 2012.
Attended the Faculty Development Programme on 'Effective Teaching Strategy' on 23^rd January 2013.
Participated as Resource Person in Finishing School Course (A certificate course in Life Skills Development) conducted by Pachhunga University College, Aizawl during 8^th April to 9^th May 2013.
Attended seminar on 'Food Adulteration' organized by Legal Metrology & Home Science Department, Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College on 23^rd April 2013.
Participated as Resource Person in the Finishing School 2013 for BSc Nursing Students organized by Department of Nursing, RIPANS held during 23^rd July to 2^nd August 2013 at RIPANS Campus.
Attended 'One Day Seminar on Genetically Modified Crops and Food Security' organized by Mizo Academy of Sciences & Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College held on 23^rd January 2014.
Participated in the Panel Discussion on Fostering Scientific Temper (Sub-theme: "Facts vs Fallacies") on the occasion of National Science Day 2014 celebration on 28^th February 2014 supported by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
Attended a Campaign on 'Money Transaction' organized by Rural Bank, Khatla.
Chaired the launching of Women Study Center at the College Auditorium as a Chairperson of Women Study Center, Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College, 2015.
Organized and attended the Seminar on Women related Issues - Domestic Violence, Women's Right at the college auditorium with Mizoram State Legal Services on August 2015.

Mission Statement

Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College has been established by the government to be the first science college with a view to cater to the need for undergraduate-level science education in Mizoram. The college has endeavoured to execute and disseminate quality education in various fields of science and technology.

The principle goal is to cater to the need for higher learning in the college level in various fields of science education in Mizoram. It is envisaged that the knowledge and skills gained from the institution, with the degree obtained, would facilitate students for future employment opportunities. The main objectives of the college are:

To be at par with esteemed colleges outside the state in terms of teaching-learning process and, also in terms of research output.
To continuously strive to provide a platform for more choices and opportunities, particularly for students who cannot afford to pursue higher studies elsewhere.
